Archives are not just for archive boxes, but can also include storage for files, tapes, X rays, paintings and collectables and many more.  Although many of these items do tend to end up in a box depending on its status, ie is it live, semi live or dead which will reflect how often it is accessed, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and all those inbetween.
