Ultra heavy duty and cantilever shelving
Officestor can supply various solutions for heavy duty storage in industrial warehousing and extensive storage areas. From singe-and ddpuble-sided cantilever shelving catering for long and heavy duty products, to coil racking for cylindrical products and vertical racking to store goods ranging from timber and pipes to ladders and metal conduit, we are happy to help with a bespoke solution for your requirements.
Ultra heavy duty and cantilever shelving
Single sided cantilever shelving
A cost-effective and safe solution for storing various types of long and heavy duty products. An open-fronted system allows storing infinite and varying length items.
Single sided cantilever shelving tends to be located against a wall. All single uprights are drilled to accept more arms to convert to a double sided unit.
Double sided cantilever shelving
Double sided cantilever shelving is more cost effective than single sided and generally used in middle runs of the storage area.
Vertical arm adjustments of 150mm is standard. Rack heights up to 12m high and cary up to 30 Tonnes.
Vertical racking
Vertical racking shelving is designed to store long items vertically for ease of storage and picking. Ideally used to store timber, metal conduit, pipes, ladders and boxed goods which are stored in an inclined configuration.
Coil racking
A racking system designed to store cylindrical products in an organised manner. Ideally used to store steel coil, electrical cable drums, carpets and rolls of paper.
Stored products can be stored on cantilever racks or on heavy duty structural pallet racking.
Rack clad buildings
OfficeSTOR offer technical advice for complete Rack Clad Buildings, where Cantilever Racking or Heavy Duty Racking forms the integral structure of the building. This type of building is very popular in warehousing and industrial storage applications due to its cost-effective nature.

Application |
Ideal for storage of: steel conduit, boxed goods, pipes, timber lengths, ladders |
Construction |
Robust design with all frames and beams commonly manufactored from heavy duty steel sections. Individual structural calculations to ensure that the most cost effective solution is provided. Adjustable arms that can be moved horizontally in order to respond quickly to stock changes. Options for single or double sided untils with a wide range of painted or galvanised finishes. Safe and organisted storage, making use of building height. Retaining chains and label plates available on request. |
Loadings |
Minimum safety factor of 2.8 based on ultimate tensile strength Maximum allowable weld strength of 115N/mm2 with all welding coded to BS4872 Storage capacity limited to 500kg per linear metre. (Arms are not designed to take load and are location separators only; stored products are to lean against the rear of the rack only.) |
